Blue orb rolls out of Kerryk’s pack. It touches the ship’s oven. Az picks it up and receives a vision: 3 people surround a knife, casting a spell on the knife. 4 times this happens, each time with 3 people. The knife is put on a pillow. Geometric symbols surround the knife and a man standing next to it. People watching are chanting. The man crumples with the knife in his chest. The knife disappears and his body turns to dust.
Cooky tells Kohrt the oven is cold with his pie in it. They relight the fire.
Gallantry pulls up to us. Boarded by Tethyrian patrol. Asking for our papers, questions our cargo.

They ruined Kohrt’s cookies.
Kohrt tries Cooky’s haza fruit pie and likes it, but can’t tell how Cooky made it. Cooky explains that soaking the fruit leeches out the bitterness.

Took 6 hours to reach Iladora from Chaunel including the stop
Falco, Roland, and Kohrt go to check on the water strider and meet at job board.
Water strider is still at inn, scaring folks.
Collect water strider, bartender gives them a bottle of high-proof rum for ridding them of the monster.
Az and Zash go to talk to Noll.
Meet in gardens. Explain expedition to Noll, including run-in with Tethyrian fleet.
Recommends talking to Sgt Krin or Trade Officer Gern for required documentation. Suggests gold might make it go smoothly.
Tomorrow, there is a group of noble families going for a cruise. Noll wants us to rob them without harming anybody. He wants the cufflinks of the hostess’s husband, a former general. Any other loot is ours to fence off Iladora.
An associate, Linel, will join us on Strawman later to help with logistics.
While waiting:
Kohrt goes to Gribel School of Festerin’ Fisticuffs. The school is empty and dusty. A man jumps out of a trash can and holds a knife to his throat. Kohrt mentions a flyer for the school. Gribel offers a series of jobs Kohrt must complete before learning stealth & defense skills.
Falco visits Charles’s Chuckables. It sells tossable items. Falco shops.
While waiting, Roland wants to visit the Church of Todd. Roland wants to learn more languages. Roland wants to improve the reputation of spiders. Todd sees them as abominations. Spread the good will of Todd with missionaries. Does Roland want to be a missionary, spreading the word of Todd?

Az is at the boat. Somebody with a mess of scrolls calls out. Asks if we’re the people who won the contest. Would like to come aboard and have a word with us. His name is Neel and he wants the crew to map the Isles. He will teach us how.
